whom, are still with the band today.
The band was later joined by the multi-talented Art Demulder on lead vocals/Guitar. Most recent

musical flavors of New Orleans. This dynamic group was birthed during the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina and is rooted to staying true to all musical and spiritual influences; keeping their music honest
and fresh. Based in South Bend, Indiana, these five musicians have come together to express a new,
organic, manner of story-telling and musical improvisation, while maintaining a completely relatable

Lady Sunshine and the X Band. Lady Sunshine will be lighting up the stage as the headliner of the
17thAnnual HarmonyFest. Born to sing the blues on a plantation near The Mississippi Delta in West
Helena Arkansas, Lady Sunshine grew up singing gospel music as a little girl and is definitely the ‘real
deal’! Sunshine is the consummate entertainer and that deep soulful southern hunger that drives
her is apparent both on and off the stage through her heartfelt originals and down-to-earth demeanor.
She moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1975 and began performing professionally in genres such as Blues,
R&B, Gospel, Soul & Jazz. Although Sunshine lives in the heartland of the University of Michigan
Wolverines, the chants of ‘Let’s Go Blue’ take on a whole different meaning for her.
The X-Band is a group of groove monsters that have one objective and one objective only…to
collectively get people out of their seat and dancing to their phat sounding grooves. Along with the explosive power of the Xsatiable horns, it’s no wonder people can’t seem to sit down after hearing the
infectious groove of the X-Band. These masters of the groove are why people consider them to be “The
Baddest Band In All The Land!” “Slick” Rick Humesky, Lead Guitar/Music Director. Kito Pardo
Drummer. Geno Leverett, Bass Guitar. Tom “Fossdog” Fosselman, Keyboards/Hammond Organ. Patrick
Padilla, Tenor Saxophonist/Section Leader, David G. Maki II, Alto/Baritone Saxophonist. Ken Ferry

influences spread across 40 years of music Just Jammin’ is a blend for all ages. Pink Floyd, Incubus,
Stevie Ray Vaugh, and Jimmy Hendix are among their influences.
Douglas James Band. Formed in 2004 by front man Douglas James, this Southern Michigan based
quartet quickly built a reputation as a must-see country band. Whether playing contemporary country,
which is the core of the band’s song list, classic country, or rock, the band adds their own energetic flair
to each song they play. The band’s sound has been compared to Big and Rich and Garth Brooks. “Fan-
Friendly” is how many describe this band. Beyond the obvious musical talent, what sets this band apart
from other bands is their ability to mold their show around their immediate audience. Douglas listens
and watches and takes every opportunity to include the audience in the show. Douglas James – Vocals/
Guitar. Kurt Huckendubler – Bass/Vocals. Bruce Shockley – Guitar/Vocals/Harmonica. Al Butrick – Drums.
